            Proximity cards & readers are designed to be contactless.  What that means is you don’t have to insert the card into the reader but get it with the read range.  Read ranges can vary from 4” to 36”.  These readers can work well in all environments and can stand up to all weather conditions.

            Smart cards are the newest technology.  One of the major advantages of this technology is that you can use it for much more that just access.  These cards can be programmed for computer access, parking & even vending machines.

 

Software Interface

            All of the equipment and hardware with give you a good start to controlling access, but without a way to manage all of the information you are only getting half the function of your system.  Getting employee reports and asset tracking through your software will tell  you more about your company that you thought.
